About QR-Verse
What is QR-Verse?
QR-Verse is the world's first fully multilingual QR code generator, available in 7 languages (English, Dutch, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese) with complete interface localization. We support 20+ QR code types including URL, WiFi, vCard, social media profiles, payment links, events, PDFs, multilink landing pages, and more. QR-Verse offers both static QR codes (permanent, no tracking, data embedded directly in pixels) and dynamic QR codes (editable after printing with real-time scan analytics). What sets QR-Verse apart: completely free forever with no trials or hidden fees, no credit card or signup required for static codes, custom design freedom (logo upload, brand colors, 8 eye frame designs, 3 dot patterns), and download in PNG, SVG, and PDF formats. QR-Verse serves thousands of users across 120+ countries, from individuals and small businesses to international enterprises.
What languages does QR-Verse support?
QR-Verse is available in 7 languages with full platform localization: English, Dutch (Nederlands), Spanish (Español), French (Français), German (Deutsch), Italian (Italiano), and Portuguese (Português). Every part of the platform is professionally translated — the generator interface, dashboard, help center, FAQs, support documentation, and email communications. These are human translations by native speakers, not machine-generated. You can switch languages anytime from the top navigation menu. Your QR codes work globally regardless of which language you use to create them. This makes QR-Verse ideal for international businesses, multilingual teams, global events, hotels serving international guests, and anyone who prefers working in their native language.
Is QR-Verse really free?
Yes, QR-Verse is completely free with no hidden costs, trials, or paywalls. All features are free forever: unlimited static QR codes (no signup required), unlimited dynamic QR codes with scan analytics (free account required), custom design with logo upload and brand colors, 20+ QR code types, PNG/SVG/PDF downloads, real-time analytics dashboard, and unlimited scans on all codes. Getting Started
How do I create my first QR code on QR-Verse?
Creating your first QR code on QR-Verse takes under 60 seconds. Start by visiting qr-verse.com and selecting your QR code type from 20+ options (URL, WiFi, vCard, social media, etc.). Enter your content in the type-specific form — for URLs, paste your link; for WiFi, enter network credentials; for vCards, add contact details. Customize the design using the visual editor: upload your logo, choose brand colors, select dot patterns, and customize eye frames. Download in your preferred format (PNG for digital, SVG for print, or PDF for sharing). For static codes, you're done — download and use immediately. For dynamic codes (editable with analytics), click 'Make Dynamic' and create a free account to access your QR-Verse dashboard where you can edit destinations and track scans anytime.
Do I need an account to create QR codes on QR-Verse?
No account needed for static QR codes — start creating on QR-Verse immediately as a guest. For dynamic QR codes (editable with scan analytics), you need a free QR-Verse account with just an email address. No phone number or credit card required. Once logged in, you can claim any anonymous codes you created as a guest and manage them from your QR-Verse dashboard. Creating an account takes under 30 seconds and unlocks powerful features like editing destinations, tracking scans, organizing codes, and exporting analytics.
What QR code types does QR-Verse support?
QR-Verse supports 20+ specialized QR code types: URL/Link, WiFi (automatic network connection), vCard (digital business card), Email (pre-filled mailto links), SMS, Phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, PDF, Image, Video, Audio, Event/Calendar (add to calendar), Location/Maps, Payment (PayPal, Venmo, Bitcoin, Ethereum), App Store routing (iOS/Android), Restaurant Menu, Multi-link landing pages, Plain Text, and GS1 Digital Link for product packaging. Each type is optimized with smart forms and validation to ensure your QR code works perfectly.

Absolutely! QR-Verse is available in 7 languages: English, Dutch, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. The entire interface is fully localized — generator, dashboard, help center, FAQs, and support content are professionally translated by native speakers. Switch languages anytime from the top navigation. This makes QR-Verse perfect for international businesses, multilingual teams, global events, and anyone who prefers working in their native language. Your QR codes work worldwide regardless of which language you use to create them.
Creating QR Codes
How do I create my first QR code?
Navigate to the generator, select your QR type (URL, WiFi, vCard, etc.), enter your content, customize the design with colors and logo, then download. The entire process takes under 60 seconds. For static codes, download immediately. For dynamic codes (editable with tracking), click 'Make Dynamic' and get a dashboard link to manage scans and edit the destination anytime.
Can I create QR codes in bulk?
Currently, our web interface is designed for creating individual, highly customized codes. For API access or bulk generation needs (generating hundreds or thousands of codes at once), please contact our enterprise support team. We're building these features for launch in 2026.
What happens if I make a mistake in my QR code?
For static codes, data is permanently encoded — you'll need to regenerate and reprint. For dynamic codes, you can edit the destination URL anytime from your dashboard without reprinting. This is why dynamic codes are recommended for marketing materials, business cards, or any situation where the content might change.
Can I create a WiFi QR code for my guests?
Absolutely. Select WiFi type, enter your network name (SSID), password, and security type (WPA/WEP/None). Guests scan the code and their phone automatically prompts to connect — no password typing required. Perfect for cafes, offices, Airbnb, events, and home networks. Works on iOS and Android devices natively.
Dynamic vs Static QR Codes
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
Static QR codes embed data directly in the pixels — truly permanent, fastest scanning, no tracking, but uneditable. Dynamic QR codes store a short redirect URL pointing to our servers — editable anytime, full scan analytics (location, device, time), slower by milliseconds, but dependent on our infrastructure (99.9% uptime). Both are free forever on QR-Verse with unlimited scans.
When should I use a static QR code?
Use static for WiFi codes (password rarely changes), vCards (if your contact info is stable), permanent product labels, offline text/data sharing, or when you prioritize speed and privacy over analytics. Static codes scan slightly faster and don't rely on internet connectivity beyond accessing the final destination (like a website URL).
When should I use a dynamic QR code?
Use dynamic for marketing flyers (track campaign performance), restaurant menus (update seasonally), business cards (might change jobs/numbers), event posters (edit dates or locations), product launches (A/B test landing pages), or any situation where you need scan analytics or might change the destination after printing. Dynamic codes give you complete flexibility.
Can I convert a static code to dynamic later?
No. Once a static code is generated, the data is permanently encoded in the pixels. You would need to create a new dynamic code and reprint. Plan ahead: if there's any chance you'll want to edit or track scans, choose dynamic from the start.
Do dynamic codes expire?
No. All QR codes on QR-Verse, including dynamic codes, are free forever and never expire. As long as our service exists, your dynamic codes will continue redirecting. We're committed to maintaining 99.9% uptime for all redirect infrastructure.
Design & Customization
Can I add my company logo to the QR code?
Yes. Upload your logo (PNG, JPG, SVG) and it's placed in the center with automatic error correction to ensure scannability. Adjust size (10-30% recommended) and opacity. High error correction level (30% redundancy) means the code remains scannable even with a logo covering part of it. Keep logo size under 25% for maximum reliability.
What colors should I use for my QR code?
Always use high contrast: dark foreground on light background. Best: black on white. Test thoroughly if using brand colors. Avoid low-contrast combinations (yellow on white, dark blue on black). Never use inverted colors (white on black) without extensive testing — older phone cameras struggle with inversion. You can customize foreground, background, and eye colors separately.
What is the 'Quiet Zone' and why does it matter?
The quiet zone is the white margin around your QR code. It helps scanners define the edges and is required by QR code specifications. Always leave at least 4 modules (pixel widths) of clear space. Don't push text, logos, or borders right up against the QR code pixels — this causes scan failures.
What download formats do you support?
We offer PNG (high-resolution for digital and small print), SVG (vector format for infinite scaling — perfect for billboards, merchandise, large posters), and PDF (convenient for sharing with print shops). SVG is recommended for professional printing at any size. PNG is great for web, email signatures, and social media at 300+ DPI.
Can I change the shape of the QR code dots?
Yes. Choose from three dot styles: Squares (classic, highest compatibility), Dots/Circles (modern, friendly look), or Fluid (rounded organic style). You can also customize the eye frame style (the three large corners) with 8 unique presets. Experiment with design templates for one-click complete designs matching your brand.
Scanning & Compatibility
How do people scan QR codes?
On iOS (iPhone), open the native Camera app and point at the QR code — a notification banner appears to open the link. On Android, open the Camera or Google Lens. Most modern phones (2017+) scan QR codes natively without any app. Older devices may need a free QR scanner app from the app store.
My QR code won't scan. What should I check?
First: Ensure high contrast (dark on light). Second: Check minimum size — codes should be at least 2cm × 2cm for close-range scanning. Third: Test lighting (avoid glare or shadows on the code). Fourth: Verify the quiet zone (white margin) isn't cut off. Fifth: If using a logo, ensure it doesn't cover the three corner eyes and stays under 25% size.
What is the minimum print size for QR codes?
Use the 10:1 ratio rule: scanning distance divided by 10 equals minimum size. If scanned from 10 inches away, the code should be at least 1 inch. For handheld scanning (business cards, flyers), absolute minimum is 2cm × 2cm (0.8 inches). For billboard scanning from 10 feet, minimum 12 inches. Always test before mass printing.
Do QR codes work on curved surfaces?
Yes, with limitations. QR codes use alignment patterns to correct for curvature and distortion. Moderate curves (bottles, mugs, cylindrical packaging) work fine. Extreme curves or warped surfaces may cause scan failures. Test your specific use case before production. Dynamic codes give you flexibility to reprint if the original doesn't scan well.
Can damaged QR codes still be scanned?
Yes, thanks to error correction. QR codes can be scanned even if up to 30% is damaged or covered (like by a logo). This redundancy is built into the QR standard. However, damage near the three corner eyes (finder patterns) is most critical — avoid damage there. Higher error correction levels (High or Quartile) offer more damage tolerance.
Analytics & Tracking
How do I track scans on my QR codes?
Dynamic QR codes include automatic scan tracking. Once created, go to your dashboard, find the QR code card, and click 'Analytics'. You'll see total scans, unique scans (distinct devices), location data (city/country), device types (iOS/Android), browser information, and time-based charts. Analytics update in real-time. Static codes have no tracking (privacy by design).
What is the difference between total and unique scans?
Total scans count every scan event — if one person scans 5 times, it adds 5. Unique scans count distinct devices using browser fingerprinting — same person 5 times adds only 1. Unique scans represent your true reach (how many different people saw your content). Use total scans for engagement intensity and unique scans for audience size.
Can I track individual users or names?
No. We track device-level data (location, device type, browser) but never personal identifiable information (PII). We don't know names, emails, or phone numbers unless your destination page collects that. Privacy-compliant and GDPR-friendly. Users remain anonymous in our analytics.
Can I use QR analytics for A/B testing?
Absolutely. Create two dynamic codes pointing to the same URL. Use one on your red flyer and one on your blue flyer. After a week, compare scan counts in the dashboard to see which color performed better. You can test designs, placements, locations, or messaging. Each dynamic code gets its own analytics dashboard for comparison.
Privacy & Security
Do you track data from static QR codes?
No. Static QR codes embed data directly in the pixels — the interaction happens entirely between the user's device and the final destination (like a website or WiFi network). We have no technical ability to track static code scans. This is privacy by design. Only dynamic codes (which route through our servers) include tracking.
Is my personal data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data transmission. Your QR code content, designs, and analytics are stored securely. We never sell your personal data or QR code content to third parties. Our infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud providers with regular security audits and backups. You can export or delete your data anytime.
Can I delete my account and QR codes?
Yes. Request full account deletion from your profile settings. This is permanent and immediately stops all your dynamic QR codes from working (they return 404 errors). All personal data, saved designs, and analytics are erased from our servers. Static codes you've already downloaded continue working (they're offline data), but we delete any record of creating them.
What happens if QR-Verse shuts down?
Static codes continue working forever (data is offline in the pixels). Dynamic codes would stop redirecting. To future-proof: download all QR code images and export analytics CSVs from your dashboard. We're committed to longevity, but if we ever shut down, we'll provide at least 90 days notice and export tools.
